How much do your subscriptions cost?

A music plan, a gym membership and a yearly storage bill arrive on different schedules. Compare them on the same basis before deciding what deserves a place in your budget.

Annualized cost = charge amount × billing periods per year. Monthly equivalent = combined annualized cost ÷ 12. The calculator uses 52 weekly, 12 monthly, four quarterly or one annual payment. These are planning equivalents. Its separate dated forecast counts the payments scheduled in the next twelve months, which can include 53 weekly charges.

Use the free subscription cost calculator

Replace the fictional prices and dates below with your own. Use the full charge, including taxes or fees you know about, and keep every entry in one currency. The tool does not retrieve current provider prices or inspect an account.

SMALL CHARGES, A CLEARER PICTURE

Compare costs, review usage and see when a planned cancellation could change future payments.

Fictional euro example. Dates move to your local today after loading. Replace the prices and dates with your own; these are not provider offers.

Changing currency relabels amounts; it does not convert them. Use one currency per audit.

Number format: 1,234.56. Use zero or a positive amount up to one billion and the currency’s decimal places.

Use the actual next charge date. The forecast includes its first day and excludes the same date 12 months later. Update overdue dates before using it.

Optional: a whole count from 0 to 1,000,000 for the same billing period. Leave blank when usage is not a useful measure, such as backup storage.

Check the provider’s terms first. The plan only avoids charges on or after this date. Review does not cancel anything; this website never cancels a service.

Annualized cost = price per charge × billing periods per year. Monthly equivalent = combined annualized cost ÷ 12. The dated forecast counts actual scheduled charges separately.

Amounts include only the prices you enter. Annualization uses 52 weekly, 12 monthly, 4 quarterly or 1 yearly charge; dated forecasts may contain 53 weekly payments. Monthly equivalents round to the nearest minor unit. Dates keep the billing day, clamped in shorter months. No refunds, cancellation fees, price changes, taxes not entered, FX or interest are modeled. Avoided payments are a scenario, not money already saved.

Calculations stay in this browser. No account, bank connection, upload, saved inputs or website analytics.

A worked subscription audit: €624 a year

Fictional subscriptionChargeAnnualized cost
Video streaming€12 monthly€144
Fitness membership€30 monthly€360
Cloud storage€120 yearly€120
TotalMonthly equivalent: €52€624

Twelve streaming uses in a monthly period make its cost €1 per use. Two gym visits make the fitness plan €15 per visit. These numbers help you ask better questions; they do not decide for you. Backup storage may be valuable even when you never restore a file. Leave usage blank when counting visits or sessions would be misleading.

Keep the streaming plan, review the gym and plan to cancel the cloud renewal. With the entered dates and no cancellation fee, future payments fall from €624 to €504, a potential €120 reduction. Review alone leaves a charge in the forecast. Every price here is an example, not a live offer.

Canceling a prepaid annual plan does not create cash today

In the example starting 1 November 2026, the cloud plan next renews on 31 March 2027. Canceling future renewal, if the provider allows it, avoids that future €120 payment. It does not add €10 to your account each month or refund money already paid.

Use the first date charges can really stop after checking notice periods and the provider’s terms. Payments before that date remain. The model excludes refunds, penalties, price changes and interest. Its twelve-month interval includes the start date and excludes the same date next year. Short months clamp the billing day; actual provider schedules can differ, so compare the timeline with your renewal notices.

The sinking-fund calculator helps reserve money for annual renewals you keep. The payday spending planner answers the shorter question of what remains before your next pay.

How to find subscriptions you may have missed

On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name and then Subscriptions to review Apple-billed plans. Apple’s official instructions are linked in the sources. Plans paid directly to a provider, through another account or on another card may need a separate check.

Review available bank and card history across a full year where possible, then check renewal emails and the provider’s billing page. Write down the actual price, next date and account that manages the plan. Mark a service as Review when you are unsure. Cancel through the provider or the relevant billing platform and keep its confirmation; selecting a decision in this tool does not perform that action.

Why FinTracker is our #1 pick after the audit

Bao Labs makes FinTracker and publishes this guide. We recommend it for the ongoing personal iPhone routine: record actual expenses, check category budgets and keep savings goals beside everyday spending. Put the subscriptions you keep into your monthly budget, then use a weekly review to check what really happened.

Your ledger stays on your iPhone without a required bank connection. Optional online voice AI can help with entry; review the amount and meaning before saving. Adding or editing requires an active trial or subscription. This free web tool is separate from the app. It does not establish automatic subscription detection, cancellation or refunds in FinTracker.

Questions about subscription costs

Is the calculator free and private?

Yes. It runs in your browser without an account or bank connection. Entries are not uploaded or saved. Print the summary if you want a copy; reloading resets the example.

Will it find or cancel my subscriptions?

No. You enter the subscriptions you identify. A planned cancellation changes the estimate only. Complete and verify any real cancellation with Apple or the provider.

Is paying annually always cheaper?

Compare the same features over the time you expect to use them. A fictional €120 yearly plan equals ten €12 monthly payments. Four monthly payments cost €48. Check upfront affordability and cancellation terms as well as the yearly discount.

Does the monthly equivalent show my next bill?

No. A €120 annual charge has a €10 monthly equivalent but can still require €120 on its renewal date. Use the dated timeline to review future charges.
